Making the world a better place, one electron at a time...

I started working from home and quickly grew my client base. They were mostly the clients of another local "web design" (I use the term loosely) company that had not done a very good job of keeping their clients satisfied. During this time, I created a killer app for the Rotary Club of Washington, MO for their annual radio auction. It was an internal app with a view only display for the web, which allowed the club to completely automate and streamline their radio auction process. They were so impressed and completely satisified that by the end of the first auction, they had completely abandoned their outdated paper system and increased their sales by over 30%!
After about fourteen months, the industry began to pick up and the recruiters were calling once more. In fact, I received two very attractive job offers within two days of each other. I ended up accepting the second offer. This brings us to the present day. I am the Internet Systems Administrator for a local St. Louis manufacturing firm by the name of Mocap, Inc. in Des Peres, Missouri.
I was offered the job because I was the only candidate they interviewed who knew was 'search engine optimization' let alone how to actually achieve high rankings in the organic search results. At the time I was hired, Mocap was constantly struggling to be found in the organic search results whereas their competitors were doing pretty well.
It didn't take long. After a complete site redesign with the entire focus on SEO, the site rocketed to number one for the main keyword and hit the top five for most of the other keywords where it still ranks today. For more than three years now, Mocap has dominated the organic results. With a new site design just launched based on a CSS design, the rankings contine to improve, becoming even more dominant in the industry.
