Now about Project Responder, the monster truck project I started in 2000. Let's just say that it did not go as planned. It took a year and a half just to get the truck disassembled down to the frame, working nights and weekends. I completely underestimated the amount of work involved in doing so.

In order to promote the project and to recruit sponsors, I created a complete website about the truck as a sales and marketing tool. To this end, it was incredibly effective. I gathered over 160 sponsors for the project, including some names such as DeWalt, Federal Signal, 3M. Also included was as host of smaller firms but all just as important to the progress and completion of the project.

In 2005, still dealing with some problematic mechanical issues, I took the truck to Chicago for the annual Chicagoland Emergency Vehicle Show and ended up taking home two trophies. One for the Division in which the truck was entered and the second for Best In Show!

It's now 2007 and the truck is fully completed. I will be attending a full season of shows and events this year with Project Responder. The funds to operate the truck are derived solely from the advertising income of the Project Responder website. The level of income is directly related to the success I've experienced in achieving high rankings for the keywords used by the majority of my sponsors. RKO Enterprises was so impressed that RKO is now a client as well as one of my sponsors.
